thanks to the girls at Monoxious, Charmaine and i headed down to busy Orchard Road sans make-up, excited to get a makeover done. what got us excited was that we were sent to La Coco's where Charm got her hair personally done by Jean Pierre who have fixed the hair of many korean artists including ss501's Kim Hyun Joong's! {:

so, for those interested, all you have to do is show up at basement 1 of OC on Sundays from now till October, get your make-up and hair done by professionals, get your photo taken and ta-dah, you might just be the next face of OC! {: it's definitely a fun experience to have with your girlfriends if you find yourself, like us, spending way too much time on the www doing nothing at all.

last night was just another evening at the airport, drowning in fan-girl-dom with hundreds of screaming girls waiting for Kpop group, CNBlue's arrival before getting some Popeye's. [pardon the lack of make-up+bad hair] 'twas a last minute decision but we still managed to snag pretty good spots-prolly due to it being a school night, poor primary school/ secondary kids are stuck at home studying. muahahaha!

anyway, it's a pity you cant really see my new bag i got from Warehouse here. it's so soft and leathery and small and studded and convenient and best of all, was slashed down from $133 to $49! how could i walk away from that right? {:
ps. be a dear and fund my Diploma by shopping at Distressedress! :D

Fashion Blogger "Must-Haves"

in the past couple of years, fashion blogs have blossomed into something much more than just sites on the world wide web. these blogs have garnered tons and tons of viewership, enough to possess great power/ influence over the fashion-conscious masses. here're a few items that've created a wave among fashionistas across cyber-space, and beyond.

remember that iconic Crocodile dress from the Christopher Kane for Topshop collection not too long ago? i recall wanting it so bad, despite the fact that i couldnt afford it's price tag of over 200 bucks. then Zara came up with these cat-printed onesies that were very Miu Miu. they flew off the shelves before i could even lay my hands on them.

now don't tell me you haven't noticed these YSL Arty rings on the fingers of your favourite fashion bloggers. Caroline Feber has one, 4th and Bleeker's Alexandra has one, Le Blog de Sushi's Sushi has one, Rumi has a couple.. and that F21 cross double-finger ring that ive coveted for for the longest time everrrr. SIGH.

a girl cant ever have enough heels, yes? i can only dream of having those Acne Atacoma and D&G wedges, Miu Miu satin platforms and Jessica Simpson's Dany platforms in my possession. i doubt the Atacomas are comfortable but ah well! no pain no gain. im not a fan of those Chanel clogs but you cant deny how popular that chunk of footwear is. everyone has one now! tsk.

here's a little piece of advice [that i dont take heed of but am still gonna dish out to you anyway]: before you jump on the bandwagon of every "must-haves" of the moment, think. really, most readers arent very well off and blowing a whole wad of cash on items that're "hot" on impulse burns/ will burn.

after days, weeks, months of absolute bumming around, Sity and i headed out to town in our heels to meet mr weird pyramid, splurge our greens away, satisfy our hunger with thai cuisine, then camwhored, as usual. {: im craving for more retail therapy already. if only money would rain down from the sky!

Em's back for a bit during her summer break yay. hung out at Vivo for dinner, the girl hasn't changed a bit! [: 2 couples and 2 lone souls lounging under the cloud-filled sky. i found this amazing vest that has this quirky weird print of monkeys in a plantation or something, godknowswhat, in a thrift store when i was in California with my girlfriends. they thought it was hideous but i just had to have it. sucky for weird shite. haha. and just when i thought i didnt have anything to wear it with, one of my best girlfriends bought me this romper that has funny prints for my birthday. weird monkey print+random colourful tribal-looking marks+Bali's traditional patchwork sling=match made in heaven! :D
